KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions Overall, the progress towards achievement of the project development objective (PDO) is Satisfactory. Four of six PDO indicators and ten out of 15 intermediate indicators have already been achieved. All other indicators are on track to be fully achieved by the revised closing date (June 30, 2026). A cumulative 47 (out of the planned 57) water supply sub- projects have been completed to date, benefitting 164,540 people (85.3% of the project target) in 71 rural villages. The rehabilitation of sanitation facilities was completed in 75 out of 99 social institutions, benefiting 38,150 children and teachers. Under the results-based incentive grants program, 918 households have received incentive grants. A total of 47 municipal water enterprises (MWE) benefiting from project infrastructure and service delivery enhancements have now been formalized, have an approved tariff and are, on average, covering the operating costs, and delivering at least 22 hours of water supply. 5.
