KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions Dec 06, 2024 Page 1 of 10 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project (P163876) The Project has made progress with regards to (i) the contract signing of Taing Krosaing water supply subproject and the commencement of the works, (ii) the construction of secondary and tertiary sewer networks, and the upgrade of pumping stations, and (iii) the household connections in Siem Reap City. The remaining key civil works packages (i.e., the Stoung water supply subproject and the wastewater network development in Siem Reap) are expected to be signed by November 2024. Progress has also been observed on: (i) the implementation of Behavior Change Communication (BCC), (ii) the Utilities of the Future (UoF) support, (iii) the update of the water supply and sanitation policy, and (iv) the institutional development for Siem Reap Sewerage and Wastewater Treatment Plant Unit. 5.
