KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions Dec 05, 2024 Page 1 of 8 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Madagascar Road Sector Sustainability Project (P176811) The present ISR reflects the findings of an implementation support mission conducted in Madagascar from September 24th to October 8th, 2024. All tender documents for Component 1 have been published, and contracts for road works on Route Nationale 2 (RN2) and Route Nationale 7 Nord (RN7 north) have been signed, but work is slow to start. At mid- term, and with three years to go before the project closes on September 30, 2027, the project's disbursement rate stands at 41%, driven upwards by Component 3 (Contingent Emergency Response Component - CERC), which was activated in June 2022 for $100 million and is now fully disbursed. The project's commitment rate (ratio of the value of signed contracts to the value of IDA financing) is 57%, with 42% ($84 million out of $200 million) for Components 1 and 2. The project remains on track to achieve its objective by the closing date. 5.
