KEY ISSUES & STATUS Dec 03, 2024 Page 1 of 10 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Agriculture Value Chain Development Project (ICARE) (P173487) 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The project has shown encouraging progress on the ground, even while navigating some administrative and legal challenges at the central level. Agri-cluster development plans have been established for nearly all value chains across the nine locations. As of November 15, 2024, 49 Korporasi Petani (KPs) have been formed, encompassing 8,464 farmers. Several training sessions for both farmers and public sector personnel, as well as multistakeholder dialogues, have been organized. As a result, 48 first-level cooperatives have developed their business plans, and 8 partnerships have been signed between KP and private sector partners. Technology demonstration plots have been implemented in five locations. Awareness-raising activities and calls for proposals for the competitive grant scheme have been conducted at both national and local levels, resulting in 325 submissions as of November 2024. The next steps include conducting a feasibility assessment to evaluate potential additional contributions of the Project to the Ministry’s priority rice program. The project will also advance the review, selection, and co-financing of business plans prepared by the KPs, along with proposals received through the Competitive Technology Grants scheme. These actions aim to accelerate technology adaptation and dissemination. 5.
