KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The Project was approved by the Board of the World Bank on March 27, 2020. Out of 21 civil works contracts in Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, 6 contracts are completed, 14 contracts are under execution, and one contract has been terminated and will be retendered for balance works. A combined equivalent physical progress has reached 551km of completed road sections (78% of the total road sections 704km). Consultant services related to supervision of civil works contracts, technical audit, project management, resettlement action plan implementation are ongoing. On the Institutional Capacity Enhancement and Road Safety Components, 1) improvement of highway safety monitoring and data analytics, 2) mainstreaming safety and green technologies in the development of highways, and 3) An integrated ERP system implemented in MoRTH and its two implementing agencies, have been completed. 5.
