KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The project was approved by the Board on December 1, 2023 and was signed in both countries in early December. The key challenge for both countries was to achieve effectiveness, ahead of the deadlines. In Ethiopia, effectiveness was declared on February 15, 2025, and Djibouti was declared effective on June 17, 2024. The most recent missions were carried out in both countries as follows: – Djibouti, from September 8-12, 2024 – Ethiopia, from April 15-25, 2024. In addition, both countries took part in the regional coordination workshop for the EARDIP and Kenya Digital Economy Acceleration Project (KDEAP), held from September 2-6, 2024 in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. 5.
