KEY ISSUES & STATUS Jul 15, 2024 Page 1 of 21 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Djibouti Skills Development for Employment Project (P175483) 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MENFOP) and the Ministry of Labor (MT) continue to make good progress in the implementation of the project activities. The main achievements in the project's result areas are summarized below: 1. The development of a roadmap and an action plan to improve the governance of the technical and professional training centers in two priority sectors: building and logistics and transport. 2. A framework agreement between the Ministry of Labor and the Chamber of Commerce’s Resource and Skills Centre (CRC) for the training of young people in the port trade and training of first cohort. 3. The roll-out of integration programs through online training and practical placements in the workplace. 4. Preparation of feasibility and sectoral studies for the 3 new automotive, digital and energy centers. 5. Strengthened partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce, with the USAID-funded EDC project and with other stakeholders and projects that intervene in vocational, refugee and private sector training. 5.
