It will close on June 30, 2024. A national framework for certifying competencies acquired through informal training is operational and all 12 competency-based training programs have been produced. In addition, around 8,000 beneficiaries (apprentices and Master craftspersons/ MAs) are currently or have been participating in the skills verification process of which 35 percent are women. In addition, the following number of apprentices have completed or are in the process of completing training: (a) 13,177 apprentices in literacy; (b) 19,131 in socio-emotional skills; and (c) 20,873 in management/entrepreneurship. In addition, 7,451 craftsperson have received training/capacity building, 12,450 youth beneficiaries have received their entrepreneurship “seed funding” (cash-grant) to start a new business or improve productivity of their current businesses. Furthermore, the project has delivered equipment to 6,499 workshops, and implemented a functioning Management Information System (MIS) and Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM). Finally, the e-learning platform “E-Jang” to enhance self-learning of apprentices has been finalized and is in use by beneficiaries, which is part of the impact evaluation.
