KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The project was approved on November 12, 2020 for a total investment of US$ 20 million and became effective on December 22, 2020. Activities related to Cabo Verde Digital and the Competitiveness Unit, which were lagging in implementation, have seen some advancement. As a result, the Project has achieved 51% disbursement rate. Nevertheless, the Project is scheduled to close in October 2025 (20 months from this implementation support mission), it is therefore critical for all project stakeholders, public and private, to monitor closely the activities such as digital connectivity for schools and digital skills, and to ensure timelines are met. 5.
