KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The Paraguay Market Access for Agricultural Products Project (PIMA) was approved by the World Bank Board of Directors on March 19, 2020, and became effective on July 6, 2020. The project development objective of PIMA is to enhance access to markets and provide emergency support to Agricultural Producer Organizations, Indigenous Communities, and their members for the current COVID-19 emergency and future eligible crises or emergencies. To date, the project finalized the activities under Component 4 (COVID-19 Emergency Response), reaching 48,450 families across 424 Emergency Assistance Plans – PAE of Producer Organizations (373 PAE) and Indigenous Communities (51 PAE) across the Eastern Region (366 Planes de Asistencia Emergencial - PAE) and Western Region (58 PAE). The aggregated amount of Component 4 is USD 24.6 million. Under Component 2, there were 117 investment subprojects financed under the first call for proposal, with a total investment equivalent to USD 6.12 million. The subprojects reached 5,278 beneficiaries disaggregated as follows (a) 2,066 individuals under the productive alliance window; (b) 1,775 individuals under the market-linkage window; and (c) 1,437 individuals under the indigenous investment window. 5.
