KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions All 5 PDO level indicators have been achieved including PDO indicator 1- School catchment area and rationalization plan in place and associated transparent criterion-based school approval and financing process implemented; PDO 2 indicator (National Learning Assessment conducted and findings disseminated) has been achieved, currently dissemination of the results are progressing; PDO indicator 3- Percentage of teachers receiving project-supported training demonstrating improved teaching practices in the classroom; PDO indicator 4-Share of PBF schools meeting 85% student attendance rate; and PDO indicator 5- number of students benefitting from improved learning environment. School Health: The project, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and UNICEF, has procured 8,200 first-aid kits for primary schools. Each school will receive one kit bag with all necessary accessories. On 11 March 2025, Norwegian Air Shuttle transported 2,400 kits from UNICEF in Copenhagen to Sierra Leone as part of their humanitarian aid flights. The remaining 6,000 kits have been shipped under the partnership contract with UNICEF. The distribution of the first-aid kist to all the primary school is a milestone for the country. Registration of teachers in Teacher Management Information System (TMIS). Currently, there is partial teacher database those are in government payroll which excludes around 60% of teachers. A crush program for teacher registration has been launched on 21st February 2025 followed by a press conference to inform the public about the registration. The timeline for registration is March 14-31, 2025. 5.
