The Smile App to facilitate teacher attendance was launched, statewide, on February 1, 2025, after a successful pilot. There are some initial issues, but these are being addressed. The Professional Learning Communities and School Leadership Development Programs continue to engage with teachers, school leaders, and education managers. The Performance Incentive Grants (PIGs) are successful and 1913 schools have benefitted. Phase two of activities under examination reforms are also under way. Component 2: Enhancing Teaching and Learning Environment - There is good progress since the last mission. PMU signed Fifteen LSC contracts before December 20, 2024. One Contract was re-tendered and this was signed in January 2025. The physical and financial progress will be tracked closely to ensure completion ahead of the loan closure on June 30, 2026. 5.
