OBJECTIVE 1.1 Development Objective Original Development Objective (Approved as part of Approval package on 21-Jun-2023) The proposed project development objective is to improve access to socioeconomic services and basic infrastructure in target communities. As the project is financed by the BNTF, the project is situated within the broader objectives of the trust fund, which is to assist in the development of the Six Formally Acknowledged MILF Camps with the aim of transforming them into peaceful and productive communities, and will support the priorities and prioritized interventions outlined in the CTP and CTIP. Within this broader context, the proposed project is expected to contribute to the following priorities: strengthened food security and improved agricultural productivity through household income diversification and improved access to socioeconomic services and basic infrastructure (community and socioeconomic). KEY ISSUES & STATUS 3.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The project has continued to make good implementation progress. The implementing agency, Community and Family Services International (CFSI) and its lead partner Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) have almost completed the Feb 13, 2025 Page 1 of 8 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Bangsamoro Camps Transformation Project (P180320) construction of all the sub-projects. Of the approved twenty-eight (28) SPs, twelve (12) were completed and turned over to the communities including two IP communities, three (3) are undergoing final inspection, while twelve (12) SPs are still in construction and will be completed by December 2025. One (1) SP will be completed by January 2025. On the income stabilization activities, 12 Cooperative partners have been trained and organized, 9 of these are registered with BARMM Cooperative and Social Enterprise Authority (CSEA), and 3 are currently processing their application for registration. Cooperatives were also supported with agricultural inputs such as seeds, farm machineries and livestock among others. Homebased gardening training were given to 868 households who also received agricultural inputs such as seeds and farming tools. Women and youth groups were trained on organizational management, leadership and livelihood skills (baking, cookery), they also received tools and equipments related to their identified community ventures/business. The landscape planning process was completed. Landscape maps were used by the cooperatives and women's and youth groups to inform their project sites, business plans and homebased gardening strategies and sites. Some of the Barangay local government units used this plan as part of their reference materials such as in the development of their disaster risk reduction and management plan among others. 5.
