KEY ISSUES & STATUS 3.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions This ISR covers the period of March 2024- November 2024, the implementation progress achieved since the last reporting period. The Program continues to make satisfactory progress as demonstrated by progress in the following areas: (i) Sanitation access: The overall progress of the different contracts has increased to align with the planned targets with an average progress of 85%. By February of 2025, an additional 26,181 HHCs are projected to be ready for verification, bringing the total to 62,557 HHCs. (ii) Performance improvement: All Water and Sanitation Companies (WSCs) are progressing well on KPIs for 2024-2025. Due to rising electricity costs and salary adjustments, monitoring the operating ratio and collection efficiency KPIs is crucial during the coming period. (iii) Sector framework area: The Program achieved key sector improvements, including the approval of the National Water and Sanitation Sector Strategy (NWSSS) in October 2024.
