The Concessionaire has initiated an arbitration process with ICSID per the concession contract. Construction is ongoing for Phase 1A (the first 5km section), while land acquisition and final designs are underway for Phase 1B. Civil works has been completed on 4.2km of tunnel using a conventional excavation method (not involving tunnel boring machines), six ventilation shafts for Phase 1A, as well as a significant portion of the Santa Anita rail yard and two adjacent stations. The manufacturing of trains is well advanced.
