The project became effective in the latter half of 2011, and it is on a path to achieving its expected outcomes and development objectives. Public Disclosure Copy - 79 provinces have established their Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (DRRMOs) vis a vis the original target of 14. - The Project Monitoring and Evaluation System for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PMESD) to track disaster-related financing was designed, and is expected to be installed by December 2013. - A joint circular was issued by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and OCD in March 2013 to provide guidelines on the utilization of Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Funds. - The capacity building for Post-disaster Needs Assessment has been completed with the submission of 15 sector-specific guidance notes for PDAs, and training based on this material scheduled for completion in November 2013. - 10 provinces have prepared Provincial Development and Physical Framework plans taking into account disaster risk and climate change considerations. By the end of 2013, the National Economic Development Authority expects that another 30 provinces will submit their plans, vis a vis the target of 30 provinces. - The Department of Health (DOH) completed assessment/audit of 199 hospitals in Metro Manila and Luzon against the original target of 100. - The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has retrofitted 8 bridges in Metro Manila, with the retrofits of the remaining 2 (out of the target of 10) currently under implementation.
