By April 2016, the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MoPHP) has implemented 10 rounds of mass drug administration (MDA), and has distributed more than 26.1 million doses of praziquantel against schistosomiasis and albendazole/mebendazole against STHs, equivalent to about 62.8 million tablets of praziquantel and 26 million tablets of albendazole/mebendazole. Based on the results of the four years of implementation, the project has achieved 100% geographical coverage of 275 endemic districts. The project just completed the planned tenth drug distribution campaigns running from April 18th to the 21st, 2016. The treatment campaign targeted 0.4 million and treated 0.36 million school-aged children (SAC) in 20 districts in 6 governorates (Hajjah, Ammran, Al Jawf, Abyan, Al-Hodeidah, Al- Dhalee) in areas of meso (10-40%) prevalence. The project has achieved 94% coverage for enrolled children compared to 80% target; and achieved 79% coverage for non-enrolled children compared to 70% target. Therefore, the project has achieved program coverage of 89% for SAC (enrolled and non-enrolled) compared to 75% target. The NSCP has also launched the first stage of End-line program impact evalujation in 15 districts. The remaing districts will be completed before the lauch of the fifth year drug distribution campaign planned to take place by the end of May 2016. 6/2/2016 Page 2 of 8 Public Disclosure Copy Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Yemen Schistosomiasis (P113102) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance  --  High  High Macroeconomic  --  High  High Sector Strategies and Policies  --  Substantial  Substantial Technical Design of Project or Program  --  Low  Low Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Sustainability  --  Substantial  Substantial Fiduciary  --  Substantial  Substantial Environment and Social  --  Low  Low Stakeholders  --  Moderate  Moderate Other  --  --  -- Overall  --  High  High Results Project Development Objective Indicators PHINDPDOTBL  Prevalence of infection (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 19.80 7.50 7.50 10.00 Date 31-Dec-2013 04-Dec-2015 16-May-2016 30-Jun-2016 PHINDPDOTBL  Prevalence of heavy infection of Urinary schistosomiasis (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 3.00 0.70 0.70 1.00 6/2/2016 Page 3 of 8 Public Disclosure Copy Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Yemen Schistosomiasis (P113102) Date 31-Dec-2013 04-Dec-2015 16-May-2016 30-Jun-2016 PHINDPDOTBL  Prevalence of either heavy or medium infection Intestinal schistosomiasis (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 4.60 1.00 1.00 2.50 Date 31-Dec-2013 04-Dec-2015 16-May-2016 30-Jun-2016 Overall Comments Outcome indicators will be updated once the results of the end-line program impact evaluation is completed.
