Dear Mr. Mistretta,
Amendment No.1 to the Supplemental Arrangement between the Government of
the Italian Republic, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
International Cooperation and the International Development Association
regarding the 'Multi-Donor Trust for Ethiopia General
Education Quality Improvement Project H (TFO 72612)
1. Reference is made to the Supplemental Arrangement between the Government of the Italian
Republic, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (the
"Donor") and the International Development Association (collectively, the "Bank") regarding
the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Ethiopia General Education Quality Improvement Project II
(the "Trust Fund") effective as of February 28, 2017, (the "Supplemental Arrangement").
2. The Bank is pleased to acknowledge that the Donor agrees to provide an additional
contribution in the amount of one million eight hundred thousand Euros (EUR 1,800,000) (the
"Contribution") for the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Ethiopia General Education Quality
Improvement Project II (TF072612) in accordance with the terms of the Supplemental
Arrangement.
3. The Donor, through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, will deposit the
Contribution in the currency specified in paragraph 2 above into such bank account designated
by the Bank promptly following countersignature of this Amendment and submission of a
payment request by the Bank.
4. When making a deposit, the Donor, through the Italian Agency for Development
Cooperation, will instruct its bank to include in its deposit details information (remittance
advice) field of its SWIFT deposit message, information indicating: the amount deposited, that
the deposit is made by the Donor for Trust Fund No. TF072612 (the Multi-Donor Trust Fund
for Ethiopia General Education Quality Improvement Project II), and the date of the deposit (the
"Deposit Instructions"). In addition, the Donor will provide a copy of the Deposit Instructions to
the Bank's Accounting Trust Funds Division by e-mail sent to tfremitadvice@worldbank.org or
by fax sent to (202) 614-1315.
5. All other terms of the Supplemental Arrangement will remain the same.

6. The Bank will disclose this Amendment in accordance with the Bank's Policy on Access
to Information. By entering into this Amendment, the Donor consents to such disclosure.
7. Each of the Donor and the Bank represents, by confirming its acceptance below, that it is
authorized to enter into this Amendment and act in accordance with its provisions. The Donor
and the Bank are each requested to sign and date this Amendment, and upon possession by the
Bank of this fully signed Amendment, this Amendment shall become into effect as of the date
of the last signature.
