The project activities have been successful in improving collaboration and data sharing among NBS and data producing ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs). The User Satisfaction Survey final report has been completed. The NBS Library has been renovated and equipped with new furniture and books, but has not yet been supplied with IT equipment. A librarian has been assigned and the library is open to the public. The previous mission advised that an assessment be undertaken in order to establish how the link with public institutions, especially universities, can be established and strengthened. About 75 percent of the planned training events have been implemented, most of them related to short-term trainings. The National Statistics Steering Committee has been established and is operational. The Applied Statistics Curriculum to be implemented by the University of Juba has been developed and presented to the Senate of the University of Juba which has given its approval.
