Implementation Status and Key Decisions
The project became effective on January 11, 2019. Implementation since has been on track, though some procurement has been delayed. It
remains too early to report on results, with key activities to be implemented over the course of 2020.
The designated account has been formally established and first payment was disbursed on April 1, 2019. Both the Project Management Unit (PMU)
and the Central Support Unit (CSU) are established. The Bank team continues to provide technical assistance to the client in order to support
implementation.
The MOF, with help from CSU, has successfully completed the first Portfolio Review of the World Bank projects held on November 26 and 27. The
Portfolio Review was highly successful and there was a strong interest from the government to continue the event annually.
