Under Component 1, the levels of use of the TIMBO portal (Trama Interinstitucional y Multidisciplinaria de Bibliografías On-line) continue to be high and authorities are evaluating to expand the access to new beneficiaries. The same Component is also financing the purchase of new software to update the Page 1 of 7 The World Bank Report No: ISR12095 Agency's Budgeting and Project Management Systems. Component 2 also continues with strong financing demand both for sub-projects and for scholarships and post-graduate programs. In addition to this, Component 3 also showed advances: the new Board of Directors of ANII approved three Sector Technology Centers (strengthening of the Food Technology and Innovation Unit at the Chamber of Industry; creation of a biopharmaceuticals and recombinant vaccines Production Facility at the Institut Pasteur; and creation of a Center focused on Innovation for Engineering) and signed the corresponding agreements. There is also a fourth proposal (Creation of a Center for Industrial Development) under Public Disclosure Copy evaluation and other three proposals under preparation. The implementation of the other instruments under Component 3 (Sector Technology Networks, Public-Private Sector Alliances and the Technological Demand Instrument) continues proceeding well.
