Excellency:
We refer to the Additional Financing Agreement IDA 61840 dated Max 11. 2018. betmeen
Burkina Faso the -Recipient") and the International Development Association (the 'Association).
for the abovenientioned Project. We also refer to your letter dated December 12. 2019. reqLIesting
the Association to extend the Project's closing date to November 30. 2021.
Please note that the capitalized terms LIsed in this letter ("Amendment Letter") and not
defined herein have the meaninus ascribed to them in the Additional Financin A-reement. as
applicable.
On the basis of these elements and our discussions, the Association proposes to keep the
Additional Financing Agreement's closing date as November 30. 2020. and amend the Additional
Financing Agreement in respect to the provisions below:
Additional Financing Agreement 1DA 61840:
1.     Part B (4) of Schedule I to the Additional Financing Agreement is hereby deleted in its
entirety and the following sections are renumbered accordingl.
2.     Part B (5) of Schedule I to the Additional Financing Agreement is hereby amended to read
as follows:


"Development ofstudies for Project Electric Power through: (i) updating safeguard studies. as
needed: (ii) carrying out feasibilitV studies for Proiect Electric Power: (iii) research of
opportunities for private participation in the Project Area.
3.     The Additional Financing Agreement is partially cancelled in an amount equiv alent to Euros
19,701,000. Accordingly, the table in Section IV.1. of Schedule 2 ofthe Additional Financing
Agreement is amended to read as follow\s:
