The capitalized terms used in this letter (the Amendment Letter) and not defined herein have the meaning ascribed to them in the Grant Agreement. Pursuant to your letter dated April 7, 2016, and subsequent conversations with the World Bank to amend the Grant Agreement, we are pleased to inform you that the World Bank agrees to your request and proposes to amend the terms of the Grant Agreement as follows: 1. Section 1.02 (a) of the Annex to the Grant Agreement is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: ""Beneficiary" means a Moldovan municipality or raion (region) with administrative jurisdiction over the Eligible School, selected in accordance with the criteria and procedures set forth in the Operational Manual to which a Sub-grant is made or proposed to be made from the proceeds of the Grant to carry out a Pilot Sub-project under Part 2 of the Project; and "Beneficiaries" means, collectively, the plural thereof." 2. Section 1.02 (j) of the Annex to the Grant Agreement is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: "Pilot Sub-project" means a specific Pilot Sub-project consisting of eligible investment including, inter alia: (i) rehabilitation and refurbishment of school facilities by constructing ramps for wheelchairs, installing hand rails, and modifying doors and toilets; (ii) Training to teachers and parents; and (iii) community education, and said Pilot Sub-projects shall be selected in accordance with the eligibility criteria and procedures set forth in the Operational Manual; and "Pilot Sub-projects" means, collectively, the plural thereof. 3. Section 1.02 (n) of the Annex to the Grant Agreement is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: Mr. Mircea Esanu -2- June 2, 2016 ."'Training" means the expenditures (other than those for consultants' services) incurred by the Recipient and the Beneficiaries in connection with the carrying out of training activities (such as seminars, workshops, including the reasonable travel costs (i.e. accommodation, transportation and per-diem, inter alia) of trainees and trainers (if applicable), training registration fees, catering, rental of training facilities and equipment, logistics and printing services, as well as training materials, all for the purposes of, and directly related to, the activities of the Project." 4. The following definition is added to Section 1.02 of the Annex to the Grant Agreement, placed in alphabetical order, (and the existing definitions are consequently renumbered to keep the alphabetical order) to read as follows: ""Eligible School" means a school or a hub-school where a Pilot Sub-project will be implemented, selected in accordance with the criteria and procedures set forth in the Operational Manual." 5. The description of activities under Part 2 of the Project in Section 2.01 of the Annex to the Grant Agreement is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: Part 2: Demonstration Pilot Sub-projects (a) (i) Preparation of the engineering and architectural designs of the Pilot Sub-projects; and (ii) provision of Training to teachers, special education specialists and parents with children with disabilities in the Eligible Schools. (b) Carrying out Pilot Sub-projects, aimed at integrating children with disabilities into mainstream schools, based on the plans prepared under Part I (b) above. 6. Section 3.03 of the Article III of the Annex to the Grant Agreement is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: Withdrawal Period. The Closing Date referred to in Section 3.06 (c) of the Standard Conditions is January 31, 2018. All other provisions of the Grant Agreement except as amended through this Amendment Letter shall remain in full force and effect. The provisions set forth in this Amendment Letter shall become effective upon the date of the countersignature and receipt by the World Bank of one fully executed original of this amendment letter.
