The Loan became effective on May 21, 2015. All four World Bank- financed lots have been signed, with a total value of USD 258 million. The remaining works to be financed by counterpart funds have been procured through a general works contract with a total value of USD 746 million. All four World Bank-financed lots, except for the station works under Lot 4, were completed by the end of 2019, which is 12 months ahead of the completion target set by URC (31 December 2020). The PPP contract covering rolling stock, other equipment and the operation and maintenance of Line 3 has made good implementation progress.
