However, concrete plans have been reviewed with the Government to ensure that these delays are rectified as soon as possible. A number of concrete steps have been agreed on and the Bank will review progress against this plan of action. In terms of annual targets, of the seven PDO indicators, one has achieved its annual target for March 2018, three indicators related to service delivery, immunization and basic services at health facility are on track and the remaining three indicators will start reporting the results from April, 2018. The FY 2017-2018 annual targets have been achieved for four out of twelve intermediate indicators, five indicators are on track and likely to achieve targets by mid April 2018, with the remaining two indicators related to adaptation of procurement manual of national health mission, integrated health database and community participation in planning and implementation have a midterm and afterwards targets, and will start reporting in subsequent missions, however, the progress will be reported from the next mission. The activities of Component 1 (Community action for health and nutrition) have started to show tangible results on ground. In particular, the project has completed the landscaping in 153 sites against the target of 177 sites by end of March 2018, the memorandum of understanding (MOU) is signed with 71 sites against the target of 55 by end of April 15, 2018, one-time grant is released to 40 communities, and 31 sites have received the results based financing on achievement of targets. The contracting of the third-party agency (TPA) for external verification of results achieved by the communities in sample sites is at final stage and likely to sign the contract by April 15, 2018. The recruitment and training of district and block level staff is completed in December, 2017.The progress under Component 2 (Health system development) is mixed. The technical work for improvement of service delivery in health facility is completed, the detailing of bill of quantity (BOQ) and specification of activities is under progress. The PMU have initiated the activities for supply chain management, the training of staff on basic inventory control and indenting is completed in all the districts, and the data is reported from 30 out of 177 facilities. The technical design for the information and community activity is at final stage to initiate the procurement process. The consultancy support for medical college has shown good progress, and the preparation of detail activity plan for improvement of nursing, auxiliary nurse midwife (ANM) and para medics school /college is under process.
