Implementation Status and Key Decisions
The Project was approved on May 28, 2020. The Financing Agreement was signed on July 31, 2020 and the project was declared effective on
October 16, 2020. The Project Implementing Entity has finalized the terms of reference for the recruitment of key personnel. The terms of reference
for the elaboration of key studies are being finalized, including the vulnerability assessment and airfield resilience plan and the design study for
Hewanorra International Airport’s airfield improvements.
