Finalization of project staffing, detailed implementation planning and budgeting, and preparation of some key procurement packages are still ongoing. Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data essential to planning coastal resilience investments has been acquired and has now been validated and will be shared with the RMI Government for use in their Climate Vulnerability Assessment and other assessments as required. An Emergency Management Specialist has been recruited to provide support to RMI and will be based in Majuro once Covid-19 travel restrictions are lifted.
