Building renovations are being completed for almost all local offices as well as the central office. The systematic registration processes, cadastre reconstruction (CR) and building cadastre construction (BCC), are ongoing with the first round of contracts completed, the second round of contracts for 23 cadastral zones (CZs) tendered, and the process for the third round for 50 CZs beginning over the summer. Implementation of the Kosovo Land Information System (KCLIS) has been advancing well. KCLIS consists of two subsystems: textual and graphical; the textual system has been rolled out in all MCOs except the northern municipalities and the graphical system is being tested in two pilot municipalities prior to national roll out. The development of the Kosovo Cadastre Agency (KCA) corporate strategy and business plan has been completed although a decision on the institutional reform necessary to ensure KCA’s sustainability is still pending.
