The project has also trained 101 BDA, camp JTFCT and CPST members compared to the final target of 72. They are assisting with organizing community volunteers and community consultations to identify, validate and implement subprojects. On civil works components, 22 infrastructure subprojects are in their ongoing construction. Once completed and operational, these projects are expected to benefit 27,652 community members. On Alternative Learning System, 1,885 are enrolled (vs. 1,100 target) and they are expected to show improved literacy after taking the post-test on the third week of February. As six of the 22 subprojects are likely to go beyond the project closing date of February 28, 2019, the task team is now working on project restructuring to extend the closing date upon the request of the grant recipient. To maximize the time and available funds for the extension period, technical proposals (including detailed engineering design) for uncompleted 10 infrastructure subprojects under Phase 1 have been prepared and are ready for procurement once the request for extension is granted.
