The implementation of the Project has progressed well. Till date, 1422 schemes covering a population of about 1.18 million has been completed against the project target of 1463 schemes covering a population of 1.04 million. 86% of HHs in the Project area have latrines as against the National rural average of 38%. Women's Technical Support Services groups have been formed Page 1 of 8 The World Bank Report No: ISR7597 in 2812 schemes and 1961 Water Supply and Sanitation User Committees comprising of at least three women members have been registered. By the closing date in August 31, 2012, the Project will have exceeded its end of project targets.
