Implementation Status and Key Decisions
The project has made good progress in establishing seed multiplication groups (SMGs) and farmer/producer groups (FPGs). As of September
2019, the project established 26 rice SMGs and 183 FPGs of rice, maize, and vegetables, involving 8,205 farming households over 11,735 ha.
About 2,741 farmers in SMGs and FPGs were trained and two Investment Plans (IPs) for SMGs were approved. Project completed agribusiness
surveys (ABs) and established a long list of 85 ABs who may be interested in participating in the Agricultural Value Chain Facility (AVCF).
