2. Project Objectives 
The objective of the Project is to support the Recipient's strategy to promote economic 
growth by reducing transaction costs associated with trade and investment, introducing 
transparency in investment processes and facilitating access of enterprises to export 
markets.   
 
3. Project Description 
Lending instrument.The operation will be delivered through a Specific Investment Grant 
(IDA Grant) that will disburse from August 2005 to August 2009.   
 
4. Project Location and salient physical characteristics relevant to the safeguard 
analysis 
The project will be carried out principally in the trade regulatory institutions of the 
Government of Cambodia in the Port of Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh.
