          TABLE 1: ADAPTATION OPPORTUNITIES IN HEALTH NUTRITION AND
                             POPULATION PROJECTS
                                    1.1 Health Systems and Services
 ❖ Undertake measures to improve target population’s access to health services specifically
   in case of climate change-induced natural disasters or epidemics of diseases exacerbated
   by climate change (e.g., institutional coordination, emergency preparedness, etc.)
 ❖ Incorporate climate-resilient design measures in construction and/or rehabilitation of
   health facilities
                            1.2 Enhancing Feeding/Nutrition Outcomes
 If climate change is one of the drivers behind food insecurity in your project area:
 ❖ Provide nutrition services to prevent malnutrition and stunting
 ❖ Undertake awareness raising and behavior-change initiatives to improve nutrition
      practices
 ❖ Support livelihood diversification if dependent on climate-sensitive crops
 ❖ Improve crop productivity through climate-smart agricultural practices
 ❖ Use e-voucher schemes for distribution of agriculture subsidies and/or food rations
                                    1.3 Vector/Water Borne Disease
 If climate change is one of the drivers behind vector/water borne diseases in your project
 area:
 ❖ Invest in /improve management and use of datasets on disease incidences &
      vectors, meteorological/environmental conditions, etc.
 ❖ Formulate policies to promote good hygiene and sanitation practices to prevent the
      spread of diseases exacerbated by climate change
 ❖ Develop an integrated health/environmental surveillance system to monitor climate-
      related diseases
 ❖ Align agricultural, livestock, and forestry land-use planning to minimize climate-
      related disease transmission

                                     2.1 Health Systems and Services
 Energy Efficiency:
 ❖ Integrate energy efficiency measures in the design and construction of health facilities.
 ❖ Implement energy conservation measures in O&M of health facilities
 Renewable Energy:
 ❖ Use equipment or appliance that is designed specifically to use renewable energy
 ❖ Install solar panels for energy use in health facilities
