                                1.1 Roads Networks and Connectivity
 Road rehabilitation and new road works:
     ❖ Use weather resistant paving material to withstand extreme weather events
     ❖ Construct wider drains and culverts to accommodate heavy precipitation
     ❖ Undertake slope stabilization to protect against climate risks
 Road maintenance:
     ❖ Resurface roads to prevent the surface material from washing away
 Bridge rehabilitation:
     ❖ Undertake structural retrofits/reconstruction to withstand climate hazards
     ❖ Use weather resistant paving material
                                   1.2 Public Transportation Systems
 Railway infrastructure and urban mass transit:
     ❖ Use weather-resistant construction material
     ❖ Elevate stations, tunnels, bridges, etc. in flood-prone locations
     ❖ Install pumps with greater pumping capacity in tunnels, especially for underground
        systems
     ❖ Install power backup and recovery systems to recover from climate-related disasters
     ❖ Prepare flood and climate disaster risk management plans
                                                 1.3 Waterways
 ❖   Invest in floating docks in areas prone to storm or coastal surges
 ❖   Build climate-resilient retaining walls, flood barriers, etc.
 ❖   Develop tide and water-level monitoring systems for climate-induced risks
 ❖   Provide navigation aids and warning systems for extreme weather

 Manage transport and travel demand to reduce GHG emissions:
    ❖ High-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes

 Invest in non-motorized transport:

    ❖ Side-walks
    ❖ Pedestrian crossings
                                   2.2 Public Transportation Systems
 Invest in inter-urban transport (resulting in a modal shift away from a higher-carbon
 mode):
     ❖ Railways
     ❖ Waterways
 Invest in urban mass transit:
     ❖ Metro/subway systems
     ❖ Light rail
     ❖ Bus-rapid transit (BRT) systems
 Undertake the following in public transport companies:
     ❖ Capacity building for low-carbon modes
