Since Grant effectiveness in July 2011, actions have been taken to support a more holistic approach to face malnutrition in women and children under five years of age supporting the utilization of Incaparina and enhancing the capacity of Community Health Workers and the Toledo District communities. However, the Public Disclosure Copy implementation pace needs to increase to continue to be on track to achieve Grant development objectives (PDO) and allow full utilization of Grant funds by the closing date. An independent evaluation conducted by three consultants overseen by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Belize Office, assessed progress on project activities and provided recommendations on how to ensure the Grant is implemented from now until the July 15, 2015 (closing date) and to ensure achievement of the PDO.
