Responding to the COVID 19 health emergency, the Ministry of Interior (MINGOB) has prepared a plan for US$2.0 million to benefit indigenous peoples' communities, in consultation with IP authorities of the 12 territories and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MINSA). The consultation process involved several virtual meetings of the IP Council. The project’s support for COVID 19 is also coordinated with the Bank-financed COVID 19 Health Emergency Project for Panama.
