Dear Honorable Minister: 
 
We are pleased to refer to the abovementioned Financing Agreement, dated December 17, 2008 
(
“Agreement”), between the Republic of Madagascar (“Recipient”) and International Development Association 
(“Association”), and to your request to the Association conveyed during the course of the recent September –
October 2010 supervision mission to have the Agreement amended in order to update the performance indicators 
agreed with the Association and set forth in Section II.A.1 (b) of Schedule 2 to the Agreement. 
 
We are pleased to inform you that the Association accedes to your request and agrees accordingly to 
amend Section II.A.1 (b) of Schedule 2 to the Agreement to read as shown in the attachment to this letter. 
 
Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing, on behalf of the Recipient, by signing and dating both 
originals of this amendment letter and returning one original to us for our records. Upon receipt by the 
Association of one of the originals of this amendment letter duly countersigned by you, this amendment letter 
shall be effective as of the date of your countersignature.
