The project continues to make progress on a number of Project Development Objectives (PDO) indicators as well as intermediate outcome
indicators. Positive pregnant women who received a complete prophylaxis treatment for the mother to child transmission is 37.74% for an end target of
25%. The number of sex workers referred to health center has been increased to 30096 which is far above the target set for the end of the project
(5900). The indicator related to the use of condom by sex worker has been collected from the integrated behavioral surveillance survey carried out at
the end of 2015. It is 87.97%, below the target set at the end of project (95%). Progress has also been noted in the number of sex workers treated for
STI, 922 case of IST have been identified and treated at the end of December 2015.
NGOs continues the implementation of their activities in all eight (8) regions of the country with the activities targeting most-at-risk populations. The
contracts of the best performing NGOs will be extended to end of December 2016.
The disbursement rate is around 97% and the remaining earmarked funds are committed to pay the completed contracts at the closing date.
