Additional Financing to ET-Health SDGs PforR (Pl60108)
Reinstatement of the Grant Agreements, Retroactive Extension of Effectiveness
Deadline and Effectiveness Notice
1.    We refer to: the (a) Grant Agreement for TF0A4689 dated May 18, 2017, between
the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (the "Recipient") and the International Bank
for Reconstruction and Development and International Development Association (the
"World Bank"), acting as administrator of the Global Financing Facility for Every Woman
Every Child; and (b) Grant Agreement for TF0A4705 dated May 18, 2017, between the
Recipient and the World Bank, acting as administrator of the Power of Nutrition Trust
Fund. Both Grant Agreements are hereinafter, collectively, referred to as "Agreements".
2.    We would like to inform you that since the effectiveness deadline of August 18,
2017, has lapsed without the Agreements having been declared effective through a
notification by the World Bank, it is necessary to reinstate the Agreements and extend the
effectiveness deadline before the Agreements are declared effective. Please confirm your
agreement to reinstatement of the Agreements by signing, dating and returning to the
World Bank the enclosed copy of this Letter.
3.    Upon countersignature of this Letter by an authorized representative of the
Recipient and return of one original copy to the World Bank, please be notified that
(a)   the World Bank establishes December 31, 2017, as the later date for purposes of
Section 5.04 of the Grant Agreements, and

(b)   the World Bank accepts the evidence provided to satisfy the effectiveness
conditions of the Agreements and the Agreements are declared effective as of the date of
countersignature of this letter.
4.     All other provisions of the Agreements, except as amended herein, shall remain
in full force and effect.
