The financial statements were audited by an audit firm and audit report and management letter were submitted to the Bank accordingly. Following the unbundling of Uzbekenergo in 2019, currently the project is supporting the newly established transmission company - NES - to transit to IFRS-based financial reporting and disclosure. As Comments: part of the Bank's support, NES' opening balance has been transferred to IFRS in April 2020 and a similar work for the company's 2019 interim financial statements would be completed in June 2020. NES and Bank team agreed to resume the requirement for submission of audited IFRS-based entity financial statements to the Bank starting from 2020 financial statements. NES has finalized the selection and contracted an audit firm for entity audit of 2020-2022. NES has set up a hotline, and Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram channels. In addition to the Presidential virtual reception, there are similar channels at NES subsidiaries covering all the substations financed under the MUTS project. During the civil works, under the requirements of the Operations Manual guidelines, the contractors are required to maintain billboards with information about the works, and the hotline numbers/channels for GRM for residents to use, are advertised. No complaints pertaining the Project have been received by NES during the past 5 months, and during previous missions the Bank team confirmed that the beneficiary Comments: feedback system is operational. In addition, during FY20-21, the PMU has conducted several consultations with beneficiaries on key project-related activities. Furthermore, public consultations were held with citizens and Mahalla communities living nearby the Project areas in order to explain information about planned activities, upcoming construction and installation works, and potential outages. Consultations were organized by PMU and representatives of regional branches of NES.
