More than one-third of mobilized households belong to the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs). More than 75% of SHGs have been federated into Village Organizations (VOs).  These SHGs have mobilized INR 195 crores (USD 30 million) in group savings and have leveraged INR 2496 crores (USD 384 million) from commercial banks.  As part of the comprehensive Behaviour Change Communication (BCC), more than 145,000 SHGs have undergone at least 4 modular trainings on improved nutrition and sanitation practices. The project has facilitated more than a million rural households to access benefits under the Government of India’s Swach Bharat Mission-Rural.  The project has scaled up productivity enhancement interventions to cover 315621 households through 2,678 Village Resource Persons (VRPs), that provide agriculture extension services to for key crops including Paddy, Wheat, Maize and Vegetables. Nearly 76,000 households have been facilitated to adopt kitchen gardening and the activity is being integrated as a core element of nutrition focused interventions.  Creating inclusive value chains for smallholder farmers and rural poor, the project is promoting women owned farmer producer companies (FPOs) that enable farmers to aggregate and market produce directly to larger markets and institutional buyers, achieving higher returns for their shareholders. Overall, these producer companies have collectively dealt in over 30000 MT of grains, fruits and vegetables (e.g. Maize; Potato; Lentil; Mango; Litchi; Seasonal vegetables) with an overall business turnover of more than 40 cr. (approximately USD 5.5 million) over the last three years.  Combining entrepreneurship with farmer extension services, the project has developed more than 150 Agri-Entrepreneurs, trained local youths that provide input and extension services to small-farmers.  The project has successfully piloted novel approaches in developing enabling ecosystem for individual and group enterprises and has successfully piloted Rural Retail Marts (Community managed wholesale stores for supporting smaller trading businesses) and Community managed catering enterprises including hospital canteens.
