The overall estimated traffic density on this line was an estimated 20 million in 2013 and grew rapidly in 2014 with the direct trains connecting Shijiazhuang and Zhengzhou in 81 minutes. The August 2012 project restructuring enabled the project to support the purchase of advanced catenary maintenance equipment using some of the original loan savings.
