At end December 2020, the following results were achieved: Provision of food assistance to 240,000 people 63 percent of people targeted for the above were female, which exceeds the Project’s gender target of 50 percent Distribution of agricultural and livestock inputs to 7,473 households (or 37,365 affected people) Treatment or vaccination of 956,231 livestock Rehabilitation of 13 community assets, such as terraces, irrigation, and small dams Provision of health services to 383,701 people with integrated health services Distribution of essential health commodities to village health workers Rehabilitation of water and sanitation services for 3,803 households (or 19,015 affected people) 3/23/2021 Page 1 of 8 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Zimbabwe Idai Recovery Project (P171114) Provision of education services to 88,516 children Capacity building of veterinary extension workers, 403 community health workers, 870 health canter committee members 360,367 people (cumulatively) have been reached directly through key health and hygiene promotion, including messaging on IPC for COVID-19. Health and Hygiene awareness activities undertaken in response to COVID-19 in cyclone affected high-risk areas of Mutare and Chipinge have led to considerable number of people reached and engagement with citizens using innovative approaches such as mobile units. Five solar chargers were delivered in January, finalizing the procurement of IT equipment for disease surveillance in Chipinge and Chimanimani.
