Amendment to Project Agreement Supplemental Letter (Indicators)
Dear Dr. Khan and Mr. Ahmad:
We refer to the Loan and Financing Agreements, dated July 14, 2008, between the Islamic
R.epublic of Pakistan and the Internaticnal Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) and
the International Development Association (the Association), respectively, and the Project Agreement
of the same date among the Bank, the Association, and the Multan Electric Power Company Ltd. for
the above-referenced Project (the latter, the Project Agreement, and, collectively, the Agreements).
Fie also refer to the Economic Affairs Division's letters, dated April 27 and June 14, 2012, requesting
certain amendments to the Agreements.
We are pleased to inform you that, after due consideration, the Bank / Association concurs with
the request, and consequently the ati:achment to the Supplemental Letter (Indicators) concluded
further to Section II.A.1 of the Schedule to the Project Agreement (Supplemental Letter (Indicators))
is amended to read as set forth in the A -nex to this amendment letter (emphasis added).
Except as specifically amended in this amendment letter, all other provisions of the
Supplemental Letter (Indicators) remain in full force and effect.
Please confirm your agreemen to the foregoing by signing the form of confirmation set forth
below and returning one fully executed original of this amendment letter to us and retaining one
original each for your records. This amendment letter shall become effective as of the date of the
second countersignature.

June 2007 to 12,830 by end-June 2013.
2.     Transmission and distribution losses (%), defined as electricity purchased less electricity
billed to consumers, divided by electricity purchased: From 18.7 in June 2007 to 18 by end-
June 2013.
Collections (% of billings): Frcm 98.8 in June 2007 to 99.5 by end-June 2013.
4.     Completion of local and foreign training by MEPCO staff under the Project (number):
160 staff members by end-Junc 2013.
