The Loan Agreement was signed on December 30, 2019 and the Effectiveness was declared on February 10, 2020. The Project Management Unit (PMU) was established and each Project implementing entity is working on the Terms of Reference and procurement documentation. Over the last nine months, activities have slowed down due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, procurement processes for a few consulting services have been initiated and the bidding for the major works for the Banabuiu-Sertão Central Pipeline System was launched in early December 2020.
