Has the Project Development Objective been changed since Board Approval of the Project? Yes No Component(s) Component Name Component Cost Municipal Infrastructure Rehabilitation 12.50 Technical and Institutional Strengthening 1.50 Implementation Support 2.50 Overall Ratings Previous Rating Current Rating Public Disclosure Copy Progress towards achievement of PDO Satisfactory Satisfactory Overall Implementation Progress (IP) Satisfactory Satisfactory Overall Risk Rating Substantial Implementation Status Overview This ISR is based on the findings of a supervision mission held from October 29 – November 3, 2012. OVERVIEW OF PROGRESS TO DATE: The implementation of the Municipal Infrastructure Development Project (MID) is satisfactory. The Project fully completed its third phase investment program and was closed as Page 1 of 11 The World Bank Report No: ISR8010 planned on August 31, 2012. The disbursed balance of the grant as of November 1, 2012 is USD 16.271 million (SDR 10.562 million), i.e. approximately 99.64% of total funding. All outcome indicators have been met and in many cases the achieved values exceeded the targets. The Additional Financing to MIDP (MIDP-AF) in the amount of SDR 7.7 million (US$11.85 million equivalent) in the form of IDA Grant was approved by the Board of Executive Public Disclosure Copy Directors on May 8, 2012. The Government took necessary steps to quickly meet conditions of Effectiveness per the Financing Agreement (FA) signed in August 2012 and the project was declared effective by IDA on September 5, 2012 without delays. The MIDP-AF was also used as the vehicle for retroactive financing up to SDR1.22 million aimed to help the Ministry of Land Reclamation and Water Resources (MLRWR) in preparation for anticipated excessive spring flooding in 2012. The required materials were procured and works have been carried out. Technical, fiduciary and safeguards audit for procurement and use of the materials required for flood protection measures by the MLRWR has been contracted and is under way. It is expected that the report will be submitted to IDA in December 2012 for review to meet agreed retroactive financing disbursement conditions for this component.
