Amendment No. 1 to the Administration Arrangement between the Government of Canada, represented by the Minister for International Development, acting through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association concerning the GFDRR Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Supporting Disaster and Climate Resilience in Developing Countries (Trust Fund No. 073410) 1. Reference is made to the Administration Arrangement between the Government of Canada, represented by the Minister for International Development, acting through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (the “Donor”) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association (collectively, the “Bank” and together with the Donor, the “Participants” and each a “Participant”) regarding the GFDRR Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Supporting Disaster and Climate Resilience in Developing Countries (Trust Fund No. 073410) (the “Trust Fund”) effective as of January 31, 2020 (the “Administration Arrangement”). 2. The Bank acknowledges that the Donor has decided, subject to legislative appropriations, to provide the sum of two million Canadian Dollars (CAD 2,000,000) (the “Contribution”) for the Trust Fund in accordance with the terms of the Administration Arrangement. 3. The Donor will deposit the Contribution in the currency specified in paragraph 2 above into such bank account designated by the Bank promptly following countersignature of this amendment (the “Amendment”) and submission of a payment request by the Bank. 4. When making a deposit, the Donor will instruct its bank to include in its deposit details information (remittance advice) field of its SWIFT deposit message, information indicating: the amount deposited, that the deposit is made by the Donor for Trust Fund No. 073410 (the GFDRR Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Supporting Disaster and Climate Resilience in Developing Countries), and the date of the deposit (the “Deposit Instructions”). In addition, the Donor will provide a copy of the Deposit Instructions to the Bank’s Accounting Trust Funds Division by e-mail sent to tfremitadvice@worldbank.org or by fax sent to (202) 614-1315. 5. The Donor has expressed its preference that the Contribution be used to finance risk informed decision-making, with a special focus on scaling up capacity in Earth observation in coastal and Small Islands Developing States, including in the Caribbean, and activities to reduce disaster risk, improve emergency response, and support the development of resilient infrastructure. It is understood that the Bank cannot ensure that the Contribution will be used for such preference and that the Bank will not have any obligation to the Donor if such preference cannot be achieved. 6. Each of the Participants represents, by confirming its acceptance below, that it is authorized to enter into this Amendment and act in accordance with its provisions. The Bank and the Donor are each requested to sign and date this Amendment, and upon possession by the Bank of this fully signed Amendment, this Amendment will come into effect as of the date of the last signature.
