We draw attention to the fact that. the amendment affects comparability with the 2016 account financial statements, due to non-compliance with the accounting principle of consistency Asset Value re-instated As disclosed in the note 2 1.3 of the annual financial statements, one of the office equipment was fully depreciated within two years of the purchase by error, instead of its estimated original life of the asset which was five years. The NPCA rectified the error, reversed the accumulated depreciation and re-instated the depreciable value for its asset life, Member States Voluntary Contribution As disclosed in note 9.2 of the annual financial statements, NPCA received a total amount of USD 1,612.439 as voluntary contributions from Members States without duly approval of the Executive Council as this amount is not included in the decision of the budget of the African Union.
