Transparency and Accountability in Mongolian Education (TAME) Project
Amendment to the Grant Aareement
Dear Ms. Khashkhuu:
1.     We refer to the Grant Agreement ("Agreement") between the International Bank for
Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association ("World
Bank") acting as administrator of grant funds provided by multiple Donors under the GPSA Trust
Fund, and Globe International Center ("Recipient"), dated December 9, 2014, for the above-
referenced Project.
2.     We also refer to the Recipient's request dated August 27, 2015 requesting changes to the
Project activities and to the performance indicators under the Agreement. We are pleased to advise
you that the World Bank concurs with your request. The Recipient and the World Bank hereby
agree to the following amendments to the Annex to the Agreement:
A.     Paragraph 2.01 (a) (ii) is revised to read as follows:
"(ii) design and implementation of social accountability tools such as, good
governance school assessment using focus group interviews, public hearings to participate
in decision making to monitor availability of school supplies, budget and general school
environment."
B.     Paragraph 2.01 (b) (iv) is deleted.
C.     Paragraph 2.05 (b) is deleted and replaced with the following:
"(b)   The performance indicators referred to above in sub-paragraph (a) consist of the
following:
(i)    An increase in share of stakeholders at project schools engaged in planning and
oversight of school-level processes.
(ii)   An increase in share of stakeholders participating in CSO-initiated budget
monitoring activities for education."

3.     The capitalized terms used in this letter ("Amendment Letter") and not defined herein
have the meaning ascribed to them in the Agreement.
4.     Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing amendment by signing and dating this
Amendment Letter in the spaces provided below. Henceforward, all other provisions of the
Agreement not hereby amended shall remain in full force and effect. This Amendment Letter
shall be executed in two counterparts, each of which shall be an original.
