The 18 months extension of project closing date has made the project achieved significant results at two months left before closing date on October 31, 2013. Public Disclosure Copy The project supported the increased use of official migration process through establishment of 90 Community Based Organization of Migrant Workers at village level to strengthen supporting system and effectiveness of services to Migrant Workers. CBOs members have been trained, 87 CBOs of 80 CBOs targeted well function supporting effectiveness of services system , monitor the rights of migrant worker and tracking legal cases processing. 30 % of migrant workers who members of CBOs literate on information and technologies of 10 % targeted. The project also provided Reference Modules, training and local expert availability for Migrant Workers particularly on safe migration, women rights and gender perspective, financial management, business development, and paralegal. Mahnetik ( Integrated Resource Center ) for Migrant Workers have been established and function in each province , hundreds of migrant workers have been used and got benefit from the resource center. Village Head Association established in each province and function, with regular meeting, tracking and validate the migrant workers data, and monitor legal cases. Some villages produced Village Regulation regarding to Migrant Workers safe migration, protection of migrant workers and their family. The exact number of increased use of official migration process will be capture in the impact evaluation outcome survey next year. The Project improved access to financial services for migrant workers through Innovation of financial services available; supporting Government socialization of Micro Credit for Migrant Workers together with National Banks and other Financial Institutions to the destination countries of migrant workers such as Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Hongkong. Selected one Financial Institution ( LKM ) in each province to deliver grant fund for financial services products to migrant workers and their family. Hundreds of migrant workers and their families have been trained on planning and financial management, succeed trial of many groups on collective business development through CBOs sub-grant fund. Specifically the project support mechanism of safe migration through provision of Migration Information System at village level available and operate, the system integrated with the formal village data based which made the village able to become the first filter of illegal migration practice. Established a mechanism to disseminate aspirations of migrant workers from village to sub district to district , provincial and to National level, including forum at district level to discuss and resolve migrant workers problem , cases and consultation for policies improvement. Strengthening local mechanism protection for migrant workers through exploring networking including with legal system, cross locations learning best practices, and complaint handling system. TIFA has shown significant progress quantitatively and qualitatively and has sped up implementation and achievement significant results.
